I'm looking for a fishing partner in the Darien GA area to share techniques and some hot spots. I have fished the Florida panhandle flats for years but I'm new the the Georgia coast. I have a 19' center console with all of the latest gadgets.

If you fish Darien, there is a ramp at the city docks next to Skippers Seafood. The Darien river runs out to the ICW and Doboy Sound. You can fish either Doboy, Altamaha Sound, and Buttermilk Sound from Darien. I would suggest using the lift at Blu'N'Hall Marina as there are not any services at the public ramp. When are you coming to Darien? Coastman

Another good bet in Darien is the Two Way Marina on Hwy. 17 just south of town. This is a decent enough marina with a lift and most services. The restaurant (Mudcat Charlies) is also pretty good. Ask around for Rick or Wendell..they're the local pros and usually somewhere nearby if they're not out.

Two Way Fish Camp is a good marina. However if you do not know the South Altamaha it is easy to get hung up. I prefer the Blu-n-Hall Marina off Hwy 99 in Darien. This puts you right in the middle of the ICW and Doboy Sound within ten minutes of launch. I fish out of Shellman Bluff. Send me an email and we can work a trip out after St. Patrick's Day. Hey, we are having our own parade to help the local volunteer fire department on the 15th. It is a blast of a parade and you do not have to fight the crowd like in Savannah. Coastman

Hey Phillip,

Give me a hollar when you get up this way, I fish out of Brunswick usually but there are some spots off 17 where we launch on occasion. Welcome to the board and the CO family a great bunch of people!! biggrin.gif
