I usually fish out of Panama City, I live in Chattanooga, Savannah is a little closer for me so I would like to do some more fishing out of there. I have a 233 Dusky CC with a single 225HP. I have fished some of the nearshore reefs , like the KC and SAV reefs. I would like to fish the Snapper Banks.
My questions are.. ..
Will I need specific numbers for the Snapper Banks or is it a large area of live botom that can easily be found?
Are there good numbers on the charts for them?
What bait and tackle shop do you recomend in Savannah?
I would be willing to take anyone with good local knowledge or I would like to run out with another boat sometime. I am not looking for your "secret spots" just looking for a place to get started. Thanks, John

You can use the numbers on the charts to get you started they are pretty good. This time of the year the black bass are here . Squid seems to be the best. If you go to SSTCHARTS you can get a local fishing report from Mrs Judy and she tells what she is catching and what kind of bait. Good luck hope ive helped.

There's also some good numbers on the Coastal Outdoors website as well.
Go to the home page on this website and you will find them there. Some of the best snapper/grouper fishing of the year is right around the corner.
Your 23 Dusky should do well for the snapper banks trip if you have the fuel capacity. Thats a well made boat.

Thanks for the info guys, My boat holds 125 gals of fuel. Close to 300mile range so I should not have a problem.
