jaybird
I launched at the same ramp both days. On 6/5 I went up river and fished for about 4 hours and never put a fish in the boat. Today I went down river and ended up with a mixed bag of 5 fish, 2 bream, 2 redbellies, and 1 nice crappie. The bream were huge, redbellies were on the small side. Also caught 4 bass, all released, so that I can go back and catch them again.....

Does anyone know how high the river is in Waycross??? Or Folkston???

I went today, fished from 7am to 1:30 pm, two of us put 17 fish in the boat. Not a very good day. Mixed bag of Warmouth, Crappie, bream, Stumpknockers and 1 redbreast. I did catch a small bass and put him back. We caught all those, but one, in dead lakes. Over half on StrikeKing Bitsy minnows 1/8 oz. The river is rising, but was not trashy or muddy, and the moon is right...so who knows.

I figure that if I go three more times, I'll have enough to have a small fish fry. Cost around $10-$15 a pound. $6 a pound steak is looking like the better deal for me..... but it ain't as much fun beating the yellow flies off your legs while staying out the tree tops with your pole!!!!!!
I put in below Atkinson......
