Headed up to the Hill this weekend for some fishing/turkey hunting.Anyone catching any crappie yet.If so ,What area. I will be up at Fishing Creek Area.What are they bitin. (Minnows,jigs.other) Where can I buy bit at in Lincolnton? I was getting bait at Fishing Creek Store but they have closed.Any info is appreciated. tj

I fished yesterday (wed.) and everyone I talked to said it was slow.. but I believe it had alot to do with the rain we had the other day and being a full moon the other day.. stripers and crappie are on the banks.. less than 5ft.. crappie are around most blow downs and fishing crk you'd do good in Wells crk Dordoncrk, and Hawe crk.. and Shriver.. both jigs and minnow are working for crappie and also a few hybrids.. drag some herring around.. the spring striper bite is just about to break loose

Fished around Clark Hill Dam area to Church Cove to Monkey Island. I was pulling planer boards. Water temp was 54 degrees. No stripers. Had Gar fish tearing my bait up. Seen cappie near bank at Lake Springs.

That was Wednesday morning.
