I don't think so sad.gif

They have poured a slab on top, approximately 32 ft., over sand and visqueen. The way I understand it, they are then planning to slide that slab down to the end of the ramp and then pour over the existing ramp to complete the job. The last time I checked they still had not slid the 32' pour down to the end of the ramp. Maybe Fenceguy2 or 2wishin will have more info.

Sorry guys I've been leaving the house about 7am and getting home about 11:00pm this week so I haven't have the chance to go by there. I'll scoot through there in the morning on the way out and give an update.

j.allen,

Do you know how they planned to address the drop off? Is that what all of the big rock was for, fill it in then cover it with the slab?

haven't seen any activity around the boat ramp. doubt it will be ready by the weekend. I haven't seen anyone to ask what they are going to be doing about the drop off.

Robert, The way I understood the project is:

1- They will use the larger rock to fill in at the end of the ramp eliminating the drop off

2- They will slide the 32' section of concrete that they have just poured on the existing ramp, over the visqueen and sand, down the ramp so that half of the slavb is on top of the current ramp and the other half is resting on top of the rock and gravel they used to fill in the drop off -

3- They will then pour a new slab over the existing boat ramp that extends the rest of the way to the top -

The end result should give us an additional 15' or more of ramp when we're backing our boats down before we reach the end of concrete -

I put together a quick 2-d rendering of the way I understand the project - It may take just a minute to download the flash file -

Took a ride by the ramp today. If they have done anything since last Friday I can't see it. Might be time for some of the users to start calling their county commisioners.

I rode past this morning Robert and it didn't look like anything had changed. Maybe they were waiting for the higher tides we'll have over the next few days. I'll try to let you know before Saturday but it ain't lookin' good.
