Times are pretty rough for dock builder these days so I'm sure they didn't need this. I think it belongs to Stafford.

Lucky Jack - .......The Surprise is not old; no one would call her old. She has a bluff bow, lovely lines. She's a fine seaboat: weatherly, stiff and fast, very fast, if she's well handled. No, she's not old; she's in her prime.

You know farm equipment burns easier when the economy is bad. Barges may have similar problems.

The barge has been tied up at the Fillingame property for about a month or so. In between our dock and the Shrimp Docks.

I don't think so on this one. He's paying a super size barge and crane to come up from Florida to raise it. I'm not sure what that cost but the word cheap doesn't come to mind.

I'll bet there's a lot of DNR and CG interest on that area right now. Hopefully they can get it floating again real soon.

I assumed that he was over there to do some dock work. Too bad!

Bummer luck. I wonder if it was insured???

Over two months and they still haven't gotten it raised. The crane might have some corrosion issues by now. They did take the boom off of the crane last week so they are making a little progress.

I have from a reliable source that they have no insurance. So, it is all out-of-pocket money for the owner. sad.gif

The dock fees must be pretty high in Sunbury Marina if he is trying to keep his boat on the barge. ohmy.gif

Ouch!

Paul, did they give up on trying to raise the barge? Looks like it could be a hazard. rolleyes.gif

It is just a shame that it did not sink out there with the other two barges at the BL... It would have made a nice enhancement to the reef!
